Cristoffer Gustafsson goes from thesis work to employment

During the spring, Cristoffer has been in the office a few days a week, working closely with his supervisor Adam Clettborn. What was meant to be a temporary stint during his final semester in the Web Development Programme turned into a career opportunity.

So Cristoffer, you've been hired. How does it feel?

– Yes, I have! It feels really great and I'm excited to start working for real!

What have you been working on during your thesis project?

– I built an admin tool in Litium's back office to make it easier to configure and monitor maintenance jobs. It's been really fun and educational!

What will you be working on with us?

– To begin with, I'll be working part-time and combining it with my studies until I finish them in June. After the summer I'll start full-time and join the further development team. I'll be working full stack, and it'll be great to put into practice everything I've learned in theory.

You've already had a taste of what it's like to work at Motillo — what do you think so far?

– Everyone has made me feel very welcome. I like that so much is happening at Motillo — it's a wonderful workplace in that way. There are many exciting projects and a lot going on work-wise, but there are also plenty of activities and great engagement among the staff that make things happen.

You're from Linköping, and when you started your thesis you weren't quite sure where you'd end up after graduation. How does it feel now that it's settled that you'll be a Karlstad resident for the foreseeable future?

– Well, it feels good! My partner also got a new job here in town fairly recently and we like it here. My partner is a Förlunda fan and I of course cheer for Linköping HC, so I won't be switching to Färjestad. The desktop background is here to stay!
