GPSR – new legislation for safer products in e-commerce
Malin Rudby
Account & Team Manager

As of December 13, the new legislation GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) has come into force within the EU, affecting everyone who sells products online.
The purpose of GPSR is to strengthen consumer protection and ensure that the goods offered are safe and meet applicable standards. For e-commerce businesses, this means, among other things, that they must be able to demonstrate that the products they sell comply with the new legislation and that information about product safety is clear and easily accessible.
As an e-commerce business owner, you therefore need to review your product range, update your product descriptions, and ensure that your suppliers can certify that the products meet the GPSR requirements. This is not only about avoiding fines and other sanctions, but also about strengthening customer trust and offering a safe shopping experience.
