AI tools are creating a wealth of new opportunities

The pace of change in IT development has probably never been higher than it is right now. AI tools are creating new opportunities to build things, even without technical expertise, which lowers the barrier to turning new ideas into reality.

Two customers that have come a long way are Cyberphoto and Vinga, and it was no coincidence that they were the two customers invited to Litium's webinar “Accelerate your digital commerce with AI” held yesterday.

Cyberphoto's AI-built admin tool cuts thousands of hours per year

In a campaign-intensive industry with a large product catalog, it is critical for Cyberphoto to manage campaign setup and discounts efficiently. Their specific requirements go beyond what is standard in Litium's platform, but by opening up the relevant APIs we were able to let Cyberphoto's own staff build an admin interface that works exactly the way they want it to.

A complete campaign — including landing page, copy, images and advanced discount rules — can now be created in minutes instead of hours. According to their own figures, the result is a time saving of several thousand hours per year, time that can be spent on more value-creating activities.

Vinga builds and tests prototypes at high speed

Marcus Eklöf, E-commerce Manager at Vinga, described how they continuously test prototypes on a regular basis using internal AI tools. This is done in close collaboration with different parts of the business, and many of the prototypes are set aside when reality shows that they did not turn out as well as expected. But the prototypes that prove successful are handed over to us, and we then quality-assure them and prepare them for production. That way, Vinga gets the best of both worlds: high speed and innovation, combined with high quality and technical durability.
